This drawing depicts a gijinka (anime girl humanization) of the Neural Knife, an original weapon concept from my Doom fanfic "Day of Wrath."
The Neural Knife was inspired by the videogame mechanic (particularly in first-person shooters) of knives being instakill stealth weapons, even when thrown. The Neural Knife has an energized monomolecular blade that bypasses most armor and shielding systems, releasing an energy pulse when coming into contact with organic tissue that fries the victim's nervous system. This causes instant death on all human targets and low-level demons, though it can cause severe damage to medium- and even heavy-tier demons like Revenants and Hell Knights.
The Neural Knife is proprietary UAC technology used only by Blackwatch Troopers, the UAC's dedicated black-ops division.
