* The Game Gear is a handheld game console released by Sega Enterprises in 1990. It was "The First Handheld Console in Japan" to feature color graphics. A separate television tuner kit was also sold which, when used, converts the Game Gear into a portable Color TV.
The Game Gear has horrendous power consumption. It runs on 6 AA batteries for only 3 hours of playing time.
