Happy 10th anniversary to Undefined Fantastic Object. As many "backstory" books as I've published, this story is one I've never been able to put into manga form, so I figured this was a good time to finally do it. I think it came out very wholesome. As temple founding legends go, the Shigisan Engi is quite unusual. It's more focused on the virtues of the monk Myouren than the god Bishamonten himself. It makes me excited to think about who might've written it and why. Deer are cute.
