The SDP-1 Stampede Valkyrie (sometimes mis-spelled 'Stampeed') first appeared in the NEC PC-98 computer game Macross: Remember Me in 1993. It then made an appearance in the subsequent Macross: Skull Leader and Macross: Love Stories in 1994 and, finally, in the compendium Macross: Skull Leader Complete Pack in 1995 which combined all three games.

The digital artwork image shows a flight of Stampedes with the characters Rianna Rasich and Giichi Ijuin, Brown Squadron commander, both of whom play a supporting role in the the storylines of Skull Leader and Love Stories.
