A widely adopted digital service in the Science Era. Also called the "greatest invention in history" for having surpassed the language barrier once and for all. In its basic form it's a pair of wearable earpieces that cancel out the conversation partner's physical voice while translating and recreating it in real time. More expensive models can input information directly into the brain to translate not just sounds, but visual information as well. A very handy and innovative device to have for when you need it, sure, but on the other hand, society's overreliance on it has been becoming an uncontrolled risk recently.
