This skin is based on the protagonist of the cyberpunk-themed Ghostrunner video game, a badass but VERY unforgiving first-person platformer. The graphics, soundtrack, and combat are awesome, allowing you to kill most enemies in one shot with a slick scifi katana and other cyberninja powers, and the platforming's pretty fun, but you die in one hit as well, including from environmental hazards. And you will die A LOT in Ghostrunner.

The Doomblade is inspired by the Void Dragon TsuruGR sword, but the shoulder launcher is inspired by Rick Deckard's handgun from Blade Runner. Considering that you literally run around with a blade and that the protagonist of that film also put cyborgs out of commission, I thought it was fitting.

Other than that, Doomguy also carries the Crucible on his back, which has been modified to fit the setting as some type of energy cyberkatana.
