Is it really true that no matter how much theory they accumulate, what humans really yearn for is experience?

For better or worse, that's one of its effects. People just can't find value in theory they can't experience.

That, and he also didn't believe in an expanding universe at first, and doubted the existence of black holes...

The human world-view is built on feelings, right? Although, that practicality went too far at one time, to the point that high-end research started to stagnate.

With our individual mind and judgment, we draw borders in a world of continuities.

Human perception being narrow is what allows one to peek into the realm of faith and mystery. And because we can feel the synthetic world, we convince ourselves it's real.
