Hifuu ClubHifuu Club represents reality and fantasy. Renko and Maribel face each other upside down, representing reality and fantasy respectively.
Between them is a clock divided in half.
Maribel is followed by a nekomata (Chen) and a kitsune (Ran), indicating her possible relationship with Yukari, represented by a gap behind her, also symbolizing the entry to Gensokyo from reality. Maribel's half of the clock is actually the clock face of the Scarlet Devil Mansion (represented behind the kitsune), overlaid with a map of Gensokyo (from left to right: the Forest of Magic, the Garden of the Sun, the home of the Three Fairies of Light, Hakurei Shrine, Kourindou, Suzunaan, the Human Village, Myouren Temple, Mystia's lamprey stand)
On the bottom left are oni masks and puppets associated with youkai, extending into reality.
Renko uses a subway station and a public cemetery as the background. The cemetery represents the entry from reality to Gensokyo, while the subway is linked with both Yukari's spell card's trams and signs as well as Hiroshige No. 36. Renko's half of the clock face is populated by modern architecture, circled by a tram and placed on the Moon, representing Renko's presumed ability to tell time from stars and travels to the Moon.
The upper right has modern electronics and billboards (Showa television, old-style radio and a Famicom are from different periods), which extend into fantasy. These are items common at Kourindou.
