昔はここは陽当りがよい山の上の神社だったのです。だけど、都市開発だとかでここを取り壊そうとする人々が沢山おりまして。神はお怒りになって彼らに罰を与え続けました。
段々と神の力を恐れてか人はここを破壊しようとしなくなりました。その代わり嫌がらせかのように横にも上にも下にもビルを建ち続け、ここは陸から孤立してしまったのです。
そしていつの間にかこの神社は人々から忘れ去られていきました。なんと罰当たりなのでしょう。ですが神が人間に呪いをかけることはありません。長らく人からの信仰心をささげられていないせいで神は力を失ってしまったのです。

Long ago this was a shrine on a sunlit mountain. However, there were many people who wanted to tear it down for urban development. The gods were enraged and punished them.
Gradually the people came to fear the gods' power and stopped trying to destroy this place. Instead, as if to mock them, they built their buildings beside, above, and below leaving this place isolated from the land.
Thus before anyone noticed this shrine was forgotten. なんと罰当たりなのでしょう。 However, the gods did not curse them. As the people had not worshipped them in a long time the gods had lost their power.
