Artist's commentary
China has Qiloli (Qipao-Hanfu Lolita). Korea has Hanloli (Hanbok Lolita). Japan has Waloli (Wafuku Lolita). Then what does Vietnam have?
There’s no official name for them yet, and they’re not made yet, but some proposals are Aololi (most traditional Vietnamese clothes have names starting with áo, meaning shirt) or Vietloli (because Việt phục). These are modern fashion designs based on Japanese concept of Lolita fashion trend, but with Vietnamese elements.
A time will come when they become a reality.
