人生は想定外のことが起こるのが楽しいとかいうのもわかるんだけど、想定内の範囲でいろいろ起こるだけでも十分楽しいよなっていう。
想定と装丁をかけるのは以前に1回やってるんですが、3年たってるしこの画ヅラが見たかったのでやった次第です。

友達や絵を見てくれている方に本出さないのか、出してほしいって言われることがたまにあって、いろいろ考えもあって（時間がないだけだが）そのたび濁してしまうんですけど、装丁にこだわった本とか面白い装丁の本とか手に取ってみると、ちょっと本出してみたいなーみたいな気持ちは湧き上がってきますね。
せっかく時間をかけて本作るんなら、本でやる理由がいるよなーとか思ってしまうんですよね。見てもらうだけならWebにアップしたほうがよっぽど閲覧回数も多いので。本来は意味なんか求めず、かわいい、かっこいいでもっと軽率に作っちゃっていいと思うんですけど。いっそ勝手に作ってくれてもいいんだけどな。

In Japanese, "binding" (装丁) as in the binding of a book is homonymous with "assumption, supposition, expectation" (想定).

Friends and people who see my drawings occasionally ask if I'm going to release a book and say they'd like to see one, and I have a bunch of ideas (not any time, though) but I always brush it off. But when I pick up a book with an intricate cover or a fun cover, it makes a feeling of wanting to maybe try coming out with one well up.
I feel like if I'm going to invest all that time into making a book, I should have something that needs to be put in a book. If I just want something to be seen, just uploading it online gets it more views by far. I always thought it best to be able to just make something that's cute or cool without needing a meaning behind it. And being able to just do it yourself is nice too.
