All inside the binding
Nothing unexpected happens, but I wouldn't say it isn't fun.

In Japanese, "binding" (装丁) as in the binding of a book is homonymous with "assumption, supposition, expectation" (想定).
From blog post:
I understand the fun in life comes from the unexpected things that happen, but even if things happen within expectations, it's still plenty fun; is the idea.
I've played on "binding" and "expectation" once before, but it was 3 years ago and I did this as soon as I wanted to see this composition.
Friends and people who see my drawings occasionally ask if I'm going to release a book and say they'd like to see one, and I have a bunch of ideas (not any time, though) but I always brush it off. But when I pick up a book with an intricate cover or a fun cover, it makes a feeling of wanting to maybe try coming out with one well up.
I feel like if I'm going to invest all that time into making a book, I should have something that needs to be put in a book. If I just want something to be seen, just uploading it online gets it more views by far. I always thought it best to be able to just make something that's cute or cool without needing a meaning behind it. And being able to just do it yourself is nice too.
