USS Nautilus SS-168
The second ship of the Narwhal class, the V-class large submarine SS-168 Nautilus, carrying two 6-inch guns. There are some subtle coincidences in her name and hull number, but Nautilus herself is also a girl with her own unique story-she can almost be described as solitary.
She once engaged the Japanese fleet several times during the battle of Midway, and by the way, she also made Arashi's unsuccessful pursuit of her a chance for Enterprise's aircraft to find the Japanese Fleet--War goes on in numerous coincidences.
However, when she encountered the Kaga, her torpedo operation was a mess-her Japanese colleague, I-168, unlike her, managed to take the life of Yorktown and Hamman in a single strike. She was so upset about this that she seemed to be in the mood of irritation for a long time.
In her long war career and voyages, she made many merits-including sinking the Yamakaze(山风). (Considering the Arashi(岚) who once chased her, is this another weird coincidence? After all, even the Japanese themselves would throw the letters wrong)
Her name also belonged to a legendary submarine in a novel. She has no interest in this outdated science fiction, but after scuttling Darter with her guns, she also tried to build a small coral grave for her.
The nautilus on her head was her pet, and she took it with her without asking for the consent of the nautilus. On the lonely route of a submarine, I guess Nautilus needs the support of companions.
