By the way, we got this story planned out pretty quickly at first, but the trouble just started coming in after that, with revision after revision... The transformation spell for instance wasn't in the original plan, but at some point we just decided, why not! Might've been because I got so excited about tails while watching Dog Days. Animal tails are more important than ears. This has been Hiyori.
Although, the fluffy movement of a tail really comes across better in anime, doesn't it? Marisa's tail is the fruit of all my love and affection! But I feel like it's going to be bad if I start rambling any further, so just let it be.
The demo of a new official Touhou game just came out and everything, so I feel like we have things to draw for a long time to come. Looking forward to Ten Desires—!!
But now, hopefully we can meet again over our next book!!Nice to meet you & good day.
This is the writer Hisaka.
StrangeChameleon's 16th book was this Three Witches, or should I say Koakuma story.
It was about three months ago that I started thinking about making this kind of slapstick gag manga. I planned it all out, down to the last punchline, and felt like it was going to be smooth sailing. Oh, how wrong I was. Once I started working on it, it proved to be all kinds of difficult. All the different settings and whatnot ended up taking almost double the time as usual. I also kept going back and changing things, since I kept getting new ideas on ways I could make it better. The schedule started getting pretty tight towards the end, but I figure we have a stronger finished product to show for it. I hope.As for the contents: Koakuma moves so cutely, I've started to like her quite a bit. Alice also looks extraordinarily cute wherever she shows up. Good job, Hiyori. Of course, I like Marisa as always, and Patchouli was... well. Hey, it's just flipside of friendship, or something? I do really like Patchy, though, so we hope to get a book where she has a bigger role done this summer. She'll appear more normally there. Probably. Yeah.
On that note, I hope we can meet again over our next book.
See you!AfterpartywordThe one who puts natto on his rice! Hiyori here.
Thank you very much for picking up "Kidnap Patchouli"!
Finally another Three Witches gag book!! Yahhoo—!! Or so I figured, but somehow the schedule started pressing down more and more until I felt like I was gonna start vomiting blood. Though in the end, I feel like it wasn't so much as about the Witches as about Koakuma, so I don't know if I should call it that? Patchouli played the damsel in distress, yet she barely got to show up at all. Also, the Scarlet Devil Mansion seems to get wrecked more often than not when it shows up in our gag books. Is it just fate?
