This book was made for the Reimu-specific event "Koshou Komichi", so just as you read, it's a Reimu book. Definitely not Remi and Sakuya. Definitely not Remi and Sakuya getting themselves into trouble and then solving it, no way!
I also wanted to blow up the SDM at least once. I have already shown it in ruins, though!
By the way, it might be because I didn't have time to switch brains in between, but that original serious Reimu book and this one ended up having a lot of the same characters. (Not Sakuya and Remilia, though.) But the themes and moods and everything are totally different, so assuming I manage to get that finished in time, I hope you'll read it too.
I was actually planning a Kero-sama book for Reitaisai, and she's even the one in my circle promo image... What to do, what to do. I don't wanna be cursed~
If possible, I'd like to publish a short Kero-sama gag book too and have my first double release! But I was also supposed to finish this book in mid-February, and wouldn't you know it, it's currently 10 May. Fuhihii...
As for this book,
the title is a parody of "Monty Python and the Holy Grail", but the story had nothing to do with it. The design of the Grail is a homage to the movie's poster, but that's all...
On that note, they mention something about the Holy Grail being a tool for a vampire hunter, but now that I think about it, was that ever a thing...? The Grail makes me think of Romancing SaGa 1, so I can't help but associate it with vampires, but I guess I could be just conflating random things.
Checking the afterwords until now, this should be my 33rd book... or so I thought, but I realized that I'd actually made a mistake along the way and labeled two books as number 23 ("Roasted Misfortune" at Autumn Reitaisai and "Magic of Isolation" at Winter Comiket 2017). This is actually my 34th book. Zounose here.
How did I not notice before...?
But no, to be honest, I did consider a serious story starring Reimu, you know? But when I drew the storyboard, I realized it was a bit too long (to finish by the end of March). That's why I decided to move that to Reitaisai and instead expand on a shorter story I'd been thinking about earlier, and this book is the result.
I feel like messing up my plans this way is becoming a pattern...
But, well then. As mentioned above, the serious Reimu book should be back with a vengeance for Reitaisai.
I hope we can meet again!
