During the recent League of Legends season 8 world championship, IG went up against FNC in the final. Wang went to the tournament and personally witnessed IG's finest moment, while eating a hotdog bun with a rather large bite. Fortunately for Wang, IG ended up winning the world championship and became one of the hottest topics on Chinese social media; unfortunately, so did he and his hotdog bun.

"Commandant Wang" was a mocking nickname for Wang Sicong, but the sense of mocking is pretty much lost now.
Back in the days when IG was a newly founded eSport team, Wang headhunted several people who were currently serving LGD Gaming, another Chinese Dota eSport team. Wang got into a war of words with LGD fans after this, and some LGD fans mocked his previous grandiloquence "I wanted to start my Whampoa Military Academy of eSport" by calling him "Commandant Wang". Later, Wang responded by mocking himself, announcing that he would now like to "start his own Academy of Fucking and be its Commandant". A meme is thus born.
