Good evening. This is Urin. And so, this completes the turmoil surrounding the Miracle Mallet! Well, I didn't originally mean to make it a series anyway, but hey... I got a bunch of ideas while drawing the previous parts "Welcome Back, Princess Sukuna" and "Sekibanki", so I figured, why not take some plot points and unclear parts from the base material and make them into a coherent whole in my own story? And that's how this came to be.

Other than that, I simply wanted to settle the conflict between Shinmyoumaru and Seija. In the end, I think it's hard to say whether it really was just the Mallet replica driving her into darkness or if those were Shinmyoumaru's own feelings as well, but if that allowed her to get some manner of revenge, well, I suppose it's fine. In the very first draft, Shinmyoumaru was starving Seija to death by showering her with affection: hate keeps Seija alive, but love can kill her. I planned to give this book something of a love-hate, bittersweet ending. But in the end, the part with Shinmyoumaru's punishment ended up feeling kind of short, so I kind of wish I'd done it a little better, huh...

After this, Shinmyoumaru's going to get involved in the Occult Incident and end up getting chased by perverts, while Seija's going to start from square one and probably live hated by others as per usual. I have some plans to draw a Sagume book next, but since it looks like it's going to be another long one, the release date is yet to be decided... I hope to get it out soonish, but oh, if only I were faster at drawing... If you really think about it, wasn't Banki-chan the true mastermind here for having the idea to make the replica Mallet in the first place...?
