The cicadas are finishing so quickly this year, I feel like crying. This is the artist, Hiyori.
There's been a lot of them this year. There's no greater terror than cicadas stopping on the intercom and flying all around the stairway. Almost as if they were trying to die, I can't even open the door without killing three of them. It's almost like my condo was some sort of cicada Bermuda. I want to cry.
I channeled my frustration into this book. Hiyori here (again).
This was a story about Marisa imagining she'd become a magician and running wild because of it. Even though we previously had a similar theme in a more serious ReiMari book, it's just in my style to go out of my way to ruin that! I don't dislike it, I promise!
Well, just say that this story was in a different timeline. I have plans to draw more serious ReiMari.
Maaan~ Even then, it was really fun playing around and drawing this~ I even got to draw the three witches for the first time in a while!
I love them all looking down, badmouthing and sabotaging each other! And Hisaka totally agrees with me, so I can't wait to do a book about them before long...
I want to put my all into the next book as well, so I'd be really happy if you could pick it up as well.
Well then~Hello. This is StrangeChameleon's writer, Hisaka.
This story popped into my head when I read from HSiFS's omake that "The Forest of Magic has the power to change the very nature of the beings within it."
"I bet the mushrooms in the Forest of magic have some crazy effects too! What if one of them made you seem like magician when you ate it?"
Yeah, there really are some amazing mushrooms. And one of them appeared here. It's already been a year since I played it, but I'm glad this came out okay.
By the way, Marisa's magician thing was a theme in our ReiMari book. That one got more serious, so it felt a bit tough to write one these gag plots right after. The next ReiMari book should be more of a return to form.
So, this time's story was a gag book starring Marisa.
I hope we can meet again over our next book.
Now then.
