I'm prepared to take any retorts and feedback!
But please be gentle, okay!!!!
Also, the reason that the mastermind Chibi-Sanae (?) (I have no idea what to call her) looked about 10 years old was because it's been about 10 years in real time since the Moriya came to Gensokyo (11, to be precise?). Although, since Touhou runs on comic book time, in the actual story it's just a vague "years ago".
Next time will be at Summer Comiket (if they take me), and I'm planning a story with Marisa and two Sumirekos. There's also a chance I might go with something about HSiFS, though... These past few years, summer has been time for a compilation book, but this year I'm planning to do that at Winter Comiket.
Well then, I hope we can meet again!

To begin with, those deer heads, rabbits, frogs etc. are based on Suwa rituals, but I wonder if I should've explained that more explicitly in the story...? I also have some worries like that (though I figure it could be general knowledge for people who investigate Touhou's source material at all). This time, I went with the approach of daringly omitting that sort of thing.
Apart from that, I'm also a bit concerned if my depiction of some things like Sanae shrinking when she was possessed and Reimu changing completely into Sanae when she channeled her was clear enough.
In the very first version of the plot, Reimu was just going to borrow the three Moriyas' powers and advice when she channeled them, but that's a bit plain visually, plus the Moriya were supposed to be the theme of the story, so it'd be weird if she took care of everything. That's what got us here.
Afterword
This is my 30th book. Zounose here.
CRAZY IDEA EXPLOSION! In this book, I just felt like doing whatever I wanted. It was fun to draw... I mean, it always is, but you know.
While I draw, I'm usually trying to explain my observations and other little things within the work or make them clear in a natural manner, but I feel like I neglected that mindset more and more this time around.
For example, in the Nemuno episode, I took some influence from theories that the archetypal mountain hag was born from shrine maidens worshiping mountain gods. The onbashira-mounted deer heads were set up by Nemuno as an offering-slash-boundary to hold back the power of the child when she discovered its true nature... that's what I had in mind.
