This is Aiden, my OC that is based from me. It's his transformation from being a helpless, fragile, ignorant and submissive boy to a man exuding of uber will power and demonic strength. Nothing can bring him down. He doesn't live in fear anymore but is the one to be feared. He knows he can do it and he will do it. He's like a man possessed. Well, he's actually possessed by a demon. :D (Big Grin)

I was deeply motivated upon seeing this contest at first because the winner will get to travel on August 1 which is my birthday but I later became anxious about it when I realized that my hopes were dwarfed by the chances I have which is really flimsy. I then remembered how fearless Aiden can be (which is who I want to become) that it was him who inspired me afterwards. That's how I got to this concept of him like a man possessed.

I used Photoshop along with a Wacom Intuos on this piece. I was pretty much working with the concept in my head from the moment I've seen this contest. I scrapped two of my earlier concept and decided to show more emotion than a flashy transformation. The whole process of illustration was around 5 hours spread out over a couple of days.
