Nagara's survivors and bereaved family members were now aware of the woman's efforts, and her memorial was visited by various people.Despite this, in 1970 (Showa 45), she erected the "Memorial for the Cruiser Nagara".In the 61st year of the Showa Era, Sasaki Tsuru quietly passed away.
