Youmu is often treated with her half-human side as primary, but more than her being unable to do anything with that zeal, I think it's because of that haphazard zeal that she charges in the wrong direction. (The Ten Desires moustache scene was golden)
Even in this book, I drew my borrowed idea of loyalty with a reckless abandon. (hidden in the leaves)

Afterword
This is my 19th book. Zounose here.
Youmu's personality has been relatively altered from the original works, but for most fanartists and writers, I think this is the established persona. Within the early stages of my work, I had thought that she gave the impression of devoting to Yuyuko to the extent of killing someone, like in the latter half of Imperishable Night.
About Yuyuko, despite using a portion of her themes, I finished without really touching much on it. And because I didn't, it remains dormant in disarray. Picking out a group from the Touhou cast and writing about them is difficult, you know? I wonder if the story basis is visible... Was my skill not enough to handle it...? Well, I hope I can someday do it properly.
However, in the previous summer's Dragon Killer and in this piece, both has Yukari doing things behind the scenes huh?
Summer was a coincidence, but from here on, I'm drawing influence from Marisa's ending in Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom. For now, she's been sleeping awaiting her turn, but in reality, it seems like she's been maneuvering in the shadows, so tensions are rising around the side deals.
To be frank, I think I can draw for Reitaisai, but I'm a bit worry whether it would turn out as planned. As expected, continuing from here is...
Well, well, next up is Reitaisai, huh? Maybe I'll think about writing a short story for March's Goudou Saiji.
Anyway, until we meet again.
