We raise the destroyers
Flagship association of the glorious 2nd Destroyer SquadronIn their time, the 2nd Destroyer Squadron is a gathering of the newest and strongest ships.
Because of this, most of the newest destroyers are first assigned to the 2nd Destroyer Squadron.Tenryuu: 5th generation flagship. Assigned on December 1st 1919 and relieved in '21.
Kitakami: Served as flagship in '22.
Isuzu: Served as flagship in '24.
Yuubari: Served as flagship in'26. During her time, Destroyer #19 and #21, also known as the Mutsuki class, are assigned to the squadron.
Natori: Served as flagship in '27.
Kinu: Served as flagship in '28. During her time, Fubuki and Ayanami class joined the squadron.
Jintsuu: Assigned in '31, '34, and '38. She served the longest among the flagships and is also the flagship when Pacific War begin. It is also in '38 that Asashio and Kagerou class joined the squadron.
Naka: Served as flagship in '33 and '37. Miyuki sank during her time as flagship. Akatsuki class joined in '37.
Noshiro: Served as flagship in '43. She took over the position after Jintsuu sank.
Yahagi: In '44, she served as the last flagship. By '45, she falls together with Yamato during the Battle of Cape Bonomisaki (Operation Ten-Go).
