Megane = glasses. The bridge is said to resemble a pair of glasses.A Kongou-san who's thinking about her ancestor on the Akatsuki Bridge which connects Motoujina with the Hiroshima mainland. Today, November 21st, is the anniversary of battleship Kongou's sinking in the Formosa Strait. (Drawn in 40 minutes.)The "Hiroshima Port Dream Fireworks Festival" in July draws a large number of visitors. I also like to view the fireworks from the Akatsuki Bridge.Corvette Kongou (built in Britain of course) played an active role in the First Sino-Japanese War.
