A race of incubators that originally inhabited a planet far from Earth. Each individual does not hold a specific emotion, but the entire race shares a parallel consciousness.

The "Kyubey" itself was supposed to be nothing more than a means of communication between humans and their species.

But the "Imagine Breaker" had traveled through it to even cancel out the existence of a race of incubators in a faraway universe.

They have a special ecosystem that exists through a network of consciousness, and they do not value the individual, but recognize each unit as a spare, meaning that no one could truly harm them except by annihilating the entire tribe.

They were trying to avoid the thermodynamic death of the universe by increasing entropy with a system of magical girls, without, of course, thinking or feeling anything about it.

It was just the mechanical will of the organism's survival instincts.

The first "emotion" that sprouted in such an incubator was...
