They are the same artist, this is the proof: https://www.pixiv.net/en/artworks/86300893 (this pixiv posts has almost, if not all, uploads of aki_shou).
Yu-ri is the name used on his pixiv, tumblr, and twitter.
This is a mass update because it seems this name "aki_shou" was never associated with the artist.

You need to use a rename, not a mass update. Mass updates should only be used for combinations of tags or pools.
