We do not need colored weapon tags. But even if we do for some reason, this one is too broad to be actually useful.

I don't know about this. Pink is associated with cute, and pink_weapon -sword_art_online -blue_archive has some pretty interesting results. A pink weapon is a novelty concept.
This is not to say that the rest of the colors should be populated.

Agreed with this. Pink weapons in specific are a popular concept because of the juxtaposition of a deadly weapon with a cute color.

It needs a wiki then, to avoid further confusion.

That sounds sexist tho.
At least it's too the point and accurate.
I think maybe novelty_weapon or Cute_Armament may be viable, but you need a carefully written wiki for it.
novelty_weapon would be unclear. cute_armament sounds awkward but is more along the right lines, I think simplifying it to cute_weapon could work.

Cute weapon sounds fine actually, we could do that.
How do you add a BUR to a BUR again? If approved I got a wiki in mind that would fit well.
BUR #32899 has been approved by @nonamethanks.
create alias pink_weapon -> cute_weapon
remove alias pink_weapon -> cute_weapon
As above
Just because something is pink doesn't mean it's intentionally cute.
Also, cute is too subjective of a term to use as a tag. It's appropriate for a pool (e.g Disgustingly Adorable), but not a tag.

You don't need to point us to thetag making wiki here, I don't know why you felt that was necessary.
That aside, looking at the current posts under pink weapon, the usage proposed in the topic above seems to apply to basically all of them. Guns aren't pink, swords aren't pink, and if they are made pink in fiction that's a deliberate design decision that leads to it being interpreted as being "cutesy". Renaming it to something more appropriate reflects that it can be used for any nonstandard design that has this effect (the wiki will have to be reworked to reflect that). Please share it if you have any better suggestions for such a tag name, because it definitely seems like a taggable concept.

If you have a tag named pink weapon sitting in the tag list you're asking someone to make a black weapon or blue weapon. If the justification for keeping it is because pink is a cutesy color and unusual as a weapon color the tag name ahould reflect that.

Cute is too subjective, I think cute_weapon will be the same.
And there are quite a few water guns and toy guns that can be used as cute weapons.
I don't think cute here is an issue, it's not being used subjectively, the same way the "kawaii" in yume kawaii and yami kawaii isn't being used subjectively. It's referring to a specific aesthetic - pink and other pastel colors, stickers, hearts, you know the drill.
Cute weapon is also less hyperspecific while still encompassing the type of thing people would be searching pink weapon for. Weapons with a cutesy aesthetic. I can't tag post #7680455 or post #7040220 as pink_weapon, for example, but they're obviously meant to appeal to the same demographic.

I sometimes wish I could just upvote forum posts because yes, I agree that "cute" here doesn't pose an issue in this context, and it fits the tag description a lot better.
I wouldn't have an issue with the existence of a cute weapon tag however I do have a few questions about its boundaries.
First of all, this means that we are dropping the "pink color" qualifier and widening the scope to allow weapons that are cutesy styled and themed right?
This would allow other colors as well, and I'm not just talking about pink-adjacent colors like pastels, purple, and lightblue.
Some quick examples would be the baseball bat in post #7089982, but also Juliet's chainsaw from Lollipop Chainsaw like in post #8079972. These are hardly pink or pastelly, but most definitely cutesy styled.
If these shouldn't be under this tag, then I do think that we need a different name for it.
A term that has seen a revival thanks to a recent movie is Barbiecore which encompasses this pink-heavy theme very well, though this is a particularly deep rabbithole that I would need some help with.
Secondly, while there is a lot of overlap between pink and cute, I do think that this does not mean that pink = cute.
So some posts will need to be weeded out if this goes through.

Sure, Kafka is a cute girl, but even with the pink sword as the focus of the image, it contains nothing that I would put under the cutesy umbrella.
She also has a bright pink sword, but I wouldn't call this cutesy. This is just a magical girl following a pink template.
And this might be an unpopular opinion, but I also think that this applies to Llenn to some extend. It's just a pink-themed outfit.

LLENN's entire character design was made to be small and cute, and her weapon was meant to look ridiculous. I think pretty much any illustration that isn't her being outright menacing with her p90 probably qualifies for cute weapon.
Why shouldn't there be colored weapon tags? For many characters, the weapon is an integral part of their design, not much different from another piece of attire like a hat or bandana.
I think the problem is the lack of consistency, as only pink_weapon exists but not other less common colors like say, green weapon. (For instance all momoi posts are tagged pink weapon, but no midori posts have her green weapon). Obviously common weapon colors should not be tagged like black weapon, since they aren't unique enough to be useful for searching purposes.
And yes pink weapons exist irl.
