Pools would be just as bloaty, if all they're doing is replacing a two tag search.

They are. I'm not sure why this one in particular timed out, but it can be approved whenever an admin gets around to it.

I suggested in a previous alternate BUR(forum #294099) that we keep these tags but deprecate them, but the general consensus was “Nuke the tags we're not going to use anymore”.
Someone repopulated them, so I think it's time to deprecate them.
EDIT: Fixed BUR because I don't know what tags would be added back in while the BUR was pending.
