I do not expect the majority of users to be able to differentiate Machine pistols like the Glock 18 and Skorpion from submachine guns like the MP7 or Uzi. Especially when knowledge of those weapons will usually come from video games like Call of Duty or Battlefield where the G18 is a HG but the TMP is a SMG.
Based on reconsideration from previous topic #22701. I consider this term to be an un-intuitive way to refer several models of submachine guns, which are smaller than most models.
