No, I meant gelbooru's owner. The admins and mods here have always been friendly and helpful.
I honestly dont think it'll ever come back since they would have at least have communicated something saying they still trying to searching or what options were already considered/explored but its just been radio silence...best shot would be waiting on discord platinum giveaway or slave away to get builder quickly

It's also possible that user wasn't actively trying to gain the contributor status. They may have simply had a bunch of artwork they wanted to upload and just managed to do it very quickly.

i’m not the most avid user but i would’ve been happy to pitch a couple of bucks. the site teeters on functionality, the tag limit is really a pain. if we could just get over that hump, it’d be a miracle.
probably be faster to brute force the activation codes /j

Any sort of contributions will eventually earn a promotion. This can include tag gardening, uploading, creating/cleaning wikis, and forum participation. I'm probably forgetting some, but basically as long as you're helping somehow and not just making things worse, you'll get Builder at some point.
There are also upgrade giveaways on the discord, but I don't know when the next one of those might be.

Alright. I think I can help with tagging. I already do that a lot on Gelbooru. I still wish the owner could just open up payments or whatever
