I'm a bit surprised that there's no specific tag for the modern helmets used in military/combat, other than the general helmet tag, which brings up a whole slew of different types of helmets. There are several more specific helmet tags like motorcycle helmet, so why not create a one for the military/combat ones?
Somewhat hard to define it properly. Would a pickelhaube count? A master_chief style sci-fi helmet? A cervelliere, which would be hard to tell apart from modern military helmets?

I admit I only had the bowl-shaped steel/composite helmets of the 20th and 21st centuries in mind, like stahlhelm. But I don't think there's anything wrong with including sci-fi designs like Imperial Guard in Warhammer 40K though, that don't cover the entire face, they aren't really that dissimilar to real ones used today?
Regarding completely closed designs like a motorcycle helmet, I feel those would deserve a different tag? There is the helm tag for similar medieval designs after all.
At least we could start by tagging the afforementioned contemporary bowl-shaped helmets, the ones which people most associate with military now.
If you want to create a new umbrella tag you need to ask for implications before populating it, because otherwise the system thinks the tag is too small. I've emptied it, created this implication, and then readded the posts, so that this implication can be submitted.
