A spiked helmet of Prussian origin. It is typically associated with the Prussian and Imperial German army.

It is still worn currently in Portugal, Sweden, and many South American countries.

Designed initially as a cavalry combat helmet, the spike at its top serves to deflect sword and saber strikes from an opponent cavalry man.
