PaizuriKin, it's easy just to blacklist a tag if you don't want to see it. I don't like guro/scat/etc either but it's not like I'm being forced to look at it.

Also removing yaoi would be ridiculously discriminatory since the site is chalk full of yuri. Again, it goes back to not having to look at it.

I thought yaoi was against the rules at one point, but choosing it as a tag to be wiped out was questionable on my part. It can easily be blacklisted. (I don't like it, but the images honestly don't come up on me too often anyway)

Telling me to blacklist guro/scat and such on the other hand is different because some of the posts shouldn't be there in the first place. That's like saying "you should have simply blacklisted futanari even though some of the images were against the Terms of Service."

Yes, the yaoi images are few and far between, 'tis one of the reasons I don't see an issue with it. Also removing the tag would cause a lot of issues with what is acceptable and what isn't. A lot of images of two male characters together in not-really-suggestive but somewhat-romantic situations exist on Danbooru, so it'd likely turn in to a debatable issue.

You do have a point with the other stuff as it is a bit left-wing compared to other content on the site. The scat tag doesn't have much under it, and I find the pissing images aren't exactly "blunt" so they're easy to ignore, it's the guro that I think pushes it too far. I don't really want to get into the whys, but I think it's obvious anyway. In the end I suppose it isn't our choice, we can only express ourselves and see what the moderators feel is necessary. And... I've seen a lot of users with guro as a tag subscription.

I think you guys are pretty retarded. Danbooru was an awesome imageboard a while back, and now it's utter crap, thanks to some touhoufags and OMG A GIRL WITH A PENIS, THE HORROR guys. You guys deleted Usatarou pics, probably THE ONLY DECENT FUTANARI ARTIST, but lets keep all the deformed touhou crap approved by the touhoufags janitors!
Whats the point of banning everything if theres the blacklist function and if there are like 35 people able to moderate pics?
As long as there is quality, who cares if its scat, guro or god knows what?

I'm going to have to agree with Snesso on this one; this is just ridiculous.

I've always been a fan of futa due to the fact that their appendages ARE ridiculously huge; the contrast is what makes it appealing to me and I'm sure a few others. This new fad of making topics just to ban images from everyone else is going too far. We have blacklists for a reason; if you don't like it, blacklist it.

It pains me to see all of this happening because I came to Danbooru to find good art and good artists. That asgr post is a well drawn image; there's nothing badly drawn about it. If the futa makes it bad, that's a personal opinion.

This is why we have a load of janitors; to approve good art and disprove bad art. No personal content likes or dislikes should interfere. I don't like huge_breasts but having that impede with my sense of post quality would be unfair.

I just blacklist tags like scat myself, but I'm not sure what kind of message we're trying to send by listing feces and extreme bodily distension as prohibited content and then keeping it on the site.

There's obviously no objective criterion about what constitutes a fucking-ugly-as-shit picture, but I think most of us (in particular those of us with access to the mod queue) have similar judgment.

Why can't we just approve based on the quality of the art, and not the content? I've seen good futa, good scat (amazingly), and some pretty nice guro style images before.

Maybe specific fetishes should be removed from the TOS. That way, people wouldn't be able to pick on those fetishes while hiding behind the TOS shield. Though, I'm pretty sure this has all been said before.

So in the end, we should approve well drawn, tasteful images regardless of the fetish, and we should reject badly drawn, distasteful images.
