mass update 1boy solo short_hair -otoko_no_ko -> 1boy solo
Short hair wiki states that it shouldn't be used on males. All instances of 1boy solo short_hair should have the short hair tag being applied to male characters. Doing a bulk update as it's easier than manually going through removing this tag from over 15k posts.

Question: should the rule against tagging males with short hair apply to traps? There are over 2000 otoko_no_ko short_hair solo posts that would be affected by this update, and to my knowledge, there has never been a consensus regarding whether they should be exempted from the rule. The discussion at topic #2799 included a suggestion by @Xabid that the wiki be amended to allow use of the short hair tag for "anyone who appears to be a girl, including traps", but since there were never any responses to this, the question appears to remain unanswered.
Also, how would this update affect 1boy solo very_short_hair posts?
At least take care of 1boy solo 1girl first. Not all posts have short_hair in them, but adding it to the search makes it time out, and it's mistagging which should be fixed anyway.
Alright, I cleaned up most of 1boy solo 1girl except for post #1970729 (explicit) and post #1793711
I wasn't sure what to do with them.
EDIT: both post #1970729 and post #1793711 fit under dual persona so not solo. Fixing now.
Regarding 1boy solo very_short_hair, I would argue that male characters shouldn't be tagged with this either. The same arguments apply as to why the short hair tag should not be used on male characters - in fact more so as the male pics would flood out the very short hair tag if it was added. I would advocate getting rid of the very short hair tag from that tag set, which I (or someone else) could do manually?
I don't particularly see why otoko no ko should be treated differently from other boys, but the update can be amended for this if others think it should be.
Wouldnt short_hair alternative_hairstyle be useful for boys that usually have long hair?

Disagree with claiming that is a dual persona, and also somehow rules out the solo tag for this depiction. Both "personas" aren't even together at the same time, and it is clear it is only one character by themselves. It makes no sense to delete solo from the post.

Otoko no ko/Trap characters have generally effeminate body forms, and going with that they inherently tend to have hairstyles more in common with female characters than standard male characters. As such, it'd make more sense to treat them as a female character as far as hair length tagging goes.
Does that mean that all the other animated transformations that have the dual persona tag on them should have them be removed and replaced with solo? I changed that one because tagging such images with dual persona seems to be the standard practice.
Edited the update request to exclude otoko no ko characters.

I've gone ahead and altered the short hair wiki to make an exception for otoko no ko.
There are more that aren't tagged with transformation - just like post #1970729 isn't tagged with that.
Solo does seem to be the more common of the two, though, yes.
When I checked I was more concerned with ensuring there were multiple instances of dual persona being used for that sort of situation (which there are) than that it happened to be the more common one, though.
At the end of the day if people are really going to get het up on that one image, though, the short hair tag could always be manually added back after the update. It's not as though this issue is a symptom of a wider problem with the request.
