Couldn't air punch refer to say just doing a regular punch but not hitting anything? If that would be worthwhile covering (besides just tagging it punching), then I think this alias would be a bad idea.

do we have posts that the tag was used this way or was it cleaned before?

for such case, we can still use shadowboxing or missed_punch. the current population (if not all) is just raised_fist (maybe add arm_up too if applicable), so an alias isn't really that bad imho.

Well the dictionary seems to support the raised_fist usage, though wiktionary imo is completely wrong on the definition of air punches (plural).

Anyways I've cleaned up on the tag, migrating ~7 images to arm_up.
