1:It's an established Touhou fan term, and others will look for it.
2: Other sites have and use it. (yeah yeah, "All the cool kids are doing it")
3: Not all former Ex-Meiling pics are in the "Badass" pool; it's not a 100% sync.

Anyway, there's my $.02. Good or bad.

If by other sites you mean the other boorus that would partly be because they mirror us. Gelbooru for sure has an account devoted to just copying posts+tags from here, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that sankaku's booru has the exact same.
