Medusa, Snake Hair, Living Hair, Prehensile Hair, etc.

I was in the process of cleaning up the medusa and snake hair tags to give them some separation of meaning when I ran into another mess I'm not sure how to proceed with:

What is the difference between living hair and prehensile hair? How should they relate to medusa, snake hair, and tentacle hair?

Edit: Oh, and I might as well throw something else into this tagging mess: What to do with snake tail v. lamia?

prehensile_hair should be tagged when the character is controlling their hair like a hand, to hold on to things, etc. It's not mutually exclusive and can apply to characters with tentacle_hair when they are using it like that. Prehensile hair doesn't seem to apply to characters with snake_hair much if at all. living_hair seems similar to snake_hair, but could include hair turning into non-snake creatures or plants (as in post #714033).

I think snake_tail could probably be specifically separated from lamia by using it only when the tail does not replace the lower body as with post #1334696.
