Favorite Problems

I've recently been having a small problem. I can no longer favorite and unfavorite pictures in the recent update. Whenever I favorite a picture, it just takes me to my favorites. Whenever I try to unfavorite a picture, it says that the page doesn't exist. Anyone have any ideas or is anyone having the same problem?

I am. I made a thread last night about it too, but whilst trying to look for it just moments ago (since I don't use any forum much and don't understand how quickly then can get responses)I found yours... and yeah, I have basically the exact same problem. Additionally though, I can't vote up/down. I'm brought to a page that does not exist.

Well, at least I'm not the only one. I just hope that this problem will be resolved.

I'm glad I'm not alone either, but this is ridiculous! Yes, the sheer accesibility of my favorite things on earth might have spoiled me, but we need to get attention!

My fear is it might only be a handfull of users, else it would have been adressed by the moderators earlier...

Have you checked whether there’s a non-ancient issue about it on the github page ?

Albert said that there’s too much noise on the forum right now and he takes care of the issues on github as they come in, so create a new issue (if there isn’t one already) and he’ll surely look at it.

Edit: Actually I just tried un-/favouriting again and it’s working fine for me. Maybe it’s been fixed already?

I've had no problems with favoriting since the update and neither have a lot of others, so it probably is just a handful of users.

I'd like to echo posting an issue on GitHub with any information you have.

Well whenever I try to favorite I click the link like normal, but I'm then brought to my favorites list, without the new picture added... Also, just above my favorites collection I see the word "Blacklisted" in bold print just below the viewing mode dropdown.

If I have been blacklisted, I'd like to know why. I don't think I did anything wrong.

Additionally, trying to vote up/down a post will just redirect me to a nonexistent page. HTTP 404 Error to be exact...

Same problem here. I also appear Blacklisted. Also, when writing comments I can no longer quote reply anymore, only reply.

Sounds like a browser problem. What browser are you two using?
If it's Internet Explorer 7, I'm pretty sure everything will be fixed if you upgrade to a newer browser. (I'd recommend Firefox or Chrome.)

If it's not IE7 or some equally outdated browser, you should submit an issue to get Albert's attention: https://github.com/r888888888/danbooru/issues

I use Internet Explorer 8...

I remember reading something about IE 8 not being fully compatible with Danbooru 2. Can't recall the exact thread/post though.
So my advise would be to try another browser (Firefox, Chrome, Opera; personally, I would recommend Opera because that's what I'm using) and see if it makes any difference.

Another problem I have found beside the favorites problem is that I can no longer upload images unless they are from pixiv...

Just downloaded Windows 9. All my problems are fixed... so far. Highly recommend to all others with the problem.

If not windows though, maybe chrome.

I hope you mean Internet Explorer 9, because last I checked, Windows is only up to 8. Or do you have some sort of connections that let you get software from the future?

I just downloaded MOZILLA FIREFOX and now everything works just fine.

Firefox is the best and fastest freeware browser I have ever seen. It is just 19 MB and it can import bookmarks and favorites from Internet Explorer easily.

Problem solved. I will keep using it from now on... You also don't have to delete Internet Explorer to use it so I'll keep both browsers but use Firefox mostly.

Since one other post has reminded me of this thread.

I understand that after IE any sane browser will look like the best thing ever, but you are overstating it so much that I can't left this unanswered.
Everything you said in your post is also true for Chrome and Opera. I could go into details, but this would be completely offtopic here.

Chrome is good but it was just too slow in my Pc. Firefox is super fast...
