regarding artist ban request

Posted under General

first: i think the current request system(sending a mail to webmaster@danbooru.donmai.us, and if im not mistaken, in english) is too difficult for japanese artists

ok, here is the thing
rebecca has noticed her works on danbooru without her permission, and from some talk between her and her friends i can tell she want to request artist ban, but dealing with foreign sites is troublesome

That's too bad, she has some nice art.

Wouldn't it be useful to make a link on the homepage written in japanese called "to japanese artists" and another one named "to artists", with both writing that they can request a removal, or make a request form that they could use?

Previously discussed in forum #46430, "Disclaimer for Japanese Artists".

old thread, and it doesnt look like the devs are working on it

so, what should i do next, tell her to mail admin? with what detail? or these twitter posts are enough for proof?

Can you at least tell her what the disclaimer that glasnost wrote in forum #46430 says? It may have not been implemented yet, but most probably it will eventually, and it does summarize our position on such matters.

Perhaps we should stick glasnost's disclaimer in a wiki page, and then translators can hammer out a Japanese version and periodically refresh it as need be. Then at least we'd have something to point people to, if not something they'd find on their own. We've been waiting too long.

Let about:disclaimer discuss the intent and proper handling of this project, with a link to forum #46430 to discuss changes. Disclaimer:English can contain the original disclaimer from which all others (disclaimer:japanese, disclaimer:korean(?)) are derived. Wiki pages let multiple people contribute and correct each other, and separate pages makes tracking changes and checking up-to-date status easier.

You are likely going to have to take the bull by the horns and polish up the disclaimer yourself (or get glasnost to) and get a hold of the translators to create the Japanese and Korean versions.

We would have to leave out anything related to commercial manga for the time being for fairly obvious reasons.

Considering we're a foreign site to japanese, and that not all of them can read english, how can you expect them to even first go to the wiki, know what to search for, and then send an email to albert if they want their stuff removed?

such things as a disclaimer should be shown on the first page in my opinion, as it's not exactly minor knowledge about the website. by shown on the first page, i mean as a link.

Or do what RaisingK proposed in the previous thread:

Just handle it the same way that Janitor application notice worked. Everyone sees the big notice at the top and clicks the link to set the cookie so they don't see it anymore.

Before deciding where we're going to put it we probably need to, you know, have it translated in Japanese and everything.

I would like to ask updates about removal of rebecca's arts, as new ones are still uploaded, while she has shown discontent over her art being uploaded.

she havent said anything about that since then, maybe forgot or still in post-test-party-mode...
and i dont have enough guts to bring this topic up

if you are asking about the danbooru side, nevermind...

If she wants her art removed, she can contact albert through the standard method provided for that.

It is not your job to serve as her intermediary. Its her art, thus she needs to make the request, to albert.
