Tag Alias/Implication: God Eater

Aliasing:

• Gods Eater <-> God Eater
• Gods Eater Burst <-> God Eater Burst

Gods Eater is the localized name and I can't remember which direction we alias video game names.

• kusunoki_rikka <-> kusonoki_licca. Rikka is the tag currently in use and Licca is the name in localized version. Japanese character.
• arisa_iriinchina_amieera <-> Alisa Ilinichina Amiella. Similar reasoning to the above name. Arisa is currently in use now and Alisa is the name used by the localized version. Russian character.

Lindow is the localized name. Japanese character.

It would be god_eater (no "s") and its variants. Since god_eater_burst is apparently a enhanced re-release, according to Wikipedia, should it be aliased to god_eater as well, or are there new characters/scenarios? Can people that have played the game comment?

I've never seen a name romanized as "Licca" before. It should probably be kusunoki_rikka.

As for "Arisa," it looks like a case of Japanese romanization of a Western name, so probably alisa_ilinichina_amiella.

Off the top of my head the monster Venus_(God Eater) was introduced in Burst. I'll have to do more reading into various character appearances. Gina Dickinson may have been introduced in Burst as well.

In addition to Gina it looks like all the characters in post #854202 debuted in Burst judging by when fan art started to appear on Pixiv (not the best gauge I know). It looks like Daiba Kanon debuted in Burst as well.

On second thought, it might be best to alias the two tags. Burst isn't a sequel or a spinoff, with wildly different characters or scenarios; it's just the definitive version of the same game, with some content added in.

I could get behind that idea. So if I'm not mistaken you're proposing to alias God Eater/Gods Eater -> God Eater Burst? Or is it the other way around?

I wonder if it would be much of a stretch to implicate God Eater Burst/God Eater and (the upcoming) God_Eater_2 to God_Eater_(series)?

With burst being the definitive version of the first game we could technically edit everything to burst and implicate 2 to god_eater but this would require someone keeping an eye on the tag through at least a few months past 2's release.

It hasn't stopped us before. Even so, I don't really anticipate that as being a problem if we move everything to god_eater_burst now. People are definitely eager to use sequel tags when the games come out, and those missing them can be found with god_eater -god_eater_burst.

That sounds like a good way to round up all the lost God Eater 2 tags.
