reason: You could have one, but with only one image in the former, it seems like its a natural pair.
Reason: I nominate this on the basis that its likely to be a typo rather than an attempt to get wink since wink is shorter.

Actually most of hair_tubes kochiya_sanae is just one, but I don't know if we need to keep them separate.

Actually it might be better to do it plural to singular,
as this puts it in line with things like dowsing_rod
I think I would support hair_tubes over hair_tube, mostly because being used in pairs seems to be visually more common than being used singularly. Of the given images in the hair_tubes -touhou search, the majority are those used in pairs. While there are a few that depict it being used singularly I think it should be noted that most hairstyles that would actually use it singularly will have the tube in a less prominent position and be more likely less shown than in hair styles that use it in pairs (or even sets of 3, the 3rd one being the rear, and thus usually concealed).

It might be worthwhile to point out forum #30092 for the tools -> tool alias. The definition of the tools tag may have changed since the previous thread though.
Tools has been expanded to include things that are usually singular. Seeing a single screwdriver and tools is a weird combination in practice.
magnets -> magnet
moved the sole plural to the singular.
EDIT: related
refrigerator_magnet -> refrigerator_magnets
the direction whichever is appropriate. but i think the plural in this case is more common.
EDIT2: implication
Updated
Aliased:
needles -> needle
trenches -> trench
oven_mitt -> oven_mitts
magnets -> magnet
refrigerator_magnets -> refrigerator_magnet
Implicated:
refrigerator_magnet -> magnet
Prefer singular for fridge magnet.
