I felt like this needed it's own thread since I figure it's gonna generate a fair bit of discussion. At least from my endless queries.

So here's some things I wasn't sure about while pawing around and adding stuff.

Should we add original characters based off established copyrights. I mean stuff like Shikieika Yamaxanadu and Kawashiro Mitori, or like Cyberia-Mix mentioned the characters from post #639710 and post #656713 .

What about characters from stuff like Pixiv Fantasia?

And what about these personification type memes like Hinomoto Oniko or Amanita Virosa and all the other personified mushrooms.

Here's some more specific stuff i was wondering about. I'd like someone, probably someone that knows Japanese, to check out Lolores Ancerl and Merci Antique, as I'm not sure if they should be tagged original and would like a double check. Merci Antique is this guy's thing, http://www.pixiv.net/member.php?id=15831 but again I'm not sure what exactly is going on with it. Same for this Mygrimoire thing.

Who should Wooser be credited to? Supercell? Or does anyone know the artist that designed it?

Also a question to the formating of this. Should we keep qualifies attached to the characters? I mean Wooser_(character) as opposed to Wooser.

As a general aside how do we feel about the _(character) qualifer? Specificly for original characters, like Shiroko_(character), that have a known creator?

I'm heading to bed so I'm just going to rapid-fire in one giant paragraph:

Touhou Original are probably fine if they're not listed in the touhou list already. Pixiv Fantasia stuff is kinda in a bizarre situation so either way is probably fine, maybe just group them under a pixiv fantasia header. Okino could just as easily be a copyright as a character there seems to be more than one character design at least. Ancerl is tagged Creation I imagine Merci is the same. I tried to figure out what was going on with mygrimoire once but gave up. Qualifiers for original characters should be the original character unless we cannot figure out who created it then character is better than nothing.

Fan-created characters based off of an existing intellectual property really ought to stay in the respective copyright wikis.

I think it's unlikely there will be anything else called "Wooser" so that can probably lose the qualifier.

And I know I'm the one who created the shiroko_(character) and sanbi_(character) tags but now that I think about it, their qualifier should probably be _(reku). Going to move those two now.

ラヴォルペ is a character by yagisaka seto seen in post #822760 and a bunch of others but I'm not sure what her name romanizes to.

It's still an OC, but 勇者と魔王 is the author's thing that she's from. The character's name is 魔王ベルゼル.

Should shimon be tagged original or something else? I've been really torn about this one so I'd like some additional input.

I wouldn't say so. It's not original to any of the artists we have here, so for tagging purposes I'd consider that an outside "copyright". Though tagging it as another matter...

I guess the copyright would be Shimotsuma, which is really no sillier than the copyright Kobe Shimbun for imaichi moenai ko

How about blue_haired_girl_(murakami_suigun) + original?
And I suppose the same could be done with the other characters of these series, at least by someone who knows them.

The entirety of f-ism appears to be original characters so we could probably just treat that as the copyright.

This set by all appearances is 5 related, already uploaded here posts, but I can't figure out if there's supposed to be a name or a reference to something else or whatever's going on here.

Yes it is tagtyped copyright I just meant don't tag them original as well.

The artist only tagged those as "zombie". Didn't even include the "original" tag.
