Posts deleted for "Unapproved in three days"

I recently had 7 posts deleted for being unapproved. Is this the result of a large queue of images awaiting approval, or was there a problem with the images themselves. None of them were dupes, nor did they violate any rule (at least none that I have seen), and they were all exact copies of the CGs in their respective game and therefore can be of no higher quality. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

There's been a recent incorporation of 2 members to the moderation team so I doubt it's because a large queue.

I think it's more because nobody approved your posts. On moderation queue posts don't get deleted but not approved. If none of the moderators liked the posts, then it's why they expired.

That sucks, oh well, guess I'll try to keep putting stuff up adn maybe one day I'll get an invite and won't have to worry about it. Anyways thanks for the quick reply.

The CG bit suggests the answer. In general CGs are frowned upon, and won't get approved unless they represent good art on their own. So if you submit CG dumps of one of the many run off the mill erogames, they will be rejected for lack of any redeeming qualities.

Oh, ok, I put them up since the anime just came out for one of them (H2O footprints in the Sand) and the anime of the other finished a short while ago (Prism Ark) and there wasn't much up on either of them so I was hoping someone might be interested.

IMHO I think these are good pics.
At least much better than a couple of images that I've seen approved. (cough*post #185597*cough)

This is exactly the kind of CGs that don't get approved. They have no value outside of the game, so having them here is pointless. Regardless of whether there were some crappier ones approved, which should be seen as an error, not a policy change.

thats just great well hope that gets fixed soon. i don't want to have to re-upload my things do to mods fighting.

When a post is exceptionally bad and I suspect the poster has an incorrect idea of what danbooru entails, I usually delete their image and give a reason (like "deviantart-level of ugly", "off-topic" or "grapefruit juice is not sexy"). But for the most part, if something's just not quite there, the procedure is to let it go for the other mods to have a second look at. I've seen plenty of stuff that gets approved after I passed on it just to be cautious.

In your case, I did see those images in mod queue and I wasn't particularly fond of them, so I let them pass. I didn't think they were hideous or anything like that, just not quite suitable for danbooru. I guess the other mods felt the same way. I wouldn't have been horrified to see them approved either, though.

What is broken that needs to get fixed? The mod queue works like it does because it was specifically made to work that way.

the mods fighting thats what needs to be, the queue not that i know of.

Where exactly do you see anyone fighting? If no-one approved it, it means agreement, not fighting.

The system that is in place is exactly the opposite. If a post has to be passed over by *every mod that sees it for three days* that means the opposite of fighting.

There was more drama before, when just one mod's whims would result in a deletion. This was too arbitrary, so I suggested that there be a waiting period instead, so every image could undergo the scrutiny of multiple mods. It's *more* fair to you.

i guess i just miss read what some were saying, as for what your saying jxh2154, i would say only for ones that get put down since if its okay'ed then it gets up to the members.
葉月, not always, some just dont like an say no and delete, or they say not my thing but maybe another's and it just gets passed over.

That generally only happens with posts that break the rules and/or are off topic.

That's how it's supposed to be, though I do often approve things I don't personally like if I know they'll be broadly acceptable.
