I read the TOS and didn't see anything against a post like this. Is there some place or stickies that forbids it or is it more of a not the norm thing?

The forums here are for reporting/discussing issues directly related to the tags and the site, sankaku and gelbooru don't use it in this way afaik you may have better luck there.
