doghouse, cat house, birdhouse, animal house but no pet house?

I thought there was no pet_house tag since there is pet_play and pet_bowl but then I noticed it's called doghouse in site and there is no alias.

So, should there be a tag for all these houses? and should it be pet_house or animal_house?

a stable and a mouse_hole is an animal house but it's not a pet house because pet house implies there is a pet and a horse isn't a pet. is a birdcage an animal house if the bird lives in it? it's called animal "house" not animal "dwelling" or else even a nest would count

What if it's just a huge dog who is nobody's pet but lives in a doghouse?

imho the answer is no but i still want pet_house to be appear. What can you do in this case?

idk how it works but it looks like if a tag is deprecated you get the wiki when you search for it so maybe alias pet_house to animal_house, deprecate animal_house for being ambiguous and then stuff its wiki with tags for all types of houses? would that work?

That alias won't do anything, it'll be retired because both tags are empty.

As for different animal houses, they have different shapes (compare birdhouse vs doghouse), so they should have different tags.

I see, so deprecate both and just write the wiki? pet_house wiki should just say "Ambiguous. See animal_house" instead of an alias?

Seems like you're trying to fix a problem that doesn't exist. animal house was only ever added to one post and pet house has never been used. (In fact animal house actually makes me think of something else.) No reason to deprecate tags that aren't used, just leave the wiki pages as-is.

yeah i guess the wiki is enough. I just thought it was weird you had pet bowl and pet play but no pet house. At the time I couldn't think the tag would be called doghouse but i guess others never had this problem
