Commentary request mistags

Posted under Tags

Open call for anyone else who feels like updating metatags on posts because of their mental illness commitment to contributing to danbooru.

I've noticed commentary request slapped on a lot of older posts (circa 10 years old) from deviantArt tumblr &c when they have plain old English commentary. So for anyone who'd like to help clean this up—

commentary_request source:*tumblr*
commentary_request source:*reddit*

What I've been doing is hitting the "random" button on these searches, checking the language of the commentary, and changing the tags when appropriate. Usually it should just be English commentary & commentary, but not always.

If anyone else can think of any primarily English-speaking websites that might also have this tagging problem, feel free to chime in. Until then, sisyphean funtimes task.

Updated

I'll look into pitching in with this. I've been trying to go through older posts that are just outright missing any commentary tags at all on and off for a while now as well using something like the below search.

commentary:true -commentary_request -commentary date:2013-01-01...2013-12-31 -status:banned

Yeah, that one was definitely the smallest sample size. For those curious, as of me typing this, deviantArt has 11051 posts and tumblr is timing out. In comparison, Reddit only had a few hundred when I made that post.

If it helps for those with a higher tag limit, I've been using a search like the following to help remove some false positives from the results.

commentary_request source:*deviantart* -status:banned -mixed-language_commentary -spanish_commentary -russian_commentary -french_commentary -korean_commentary -chinese_commentary -english_commentary
