Snake armband is a bad tag name. Armbands are specifically about the piece of cloth that wraps around the arm as an identifying object. They can come with a logo or just be pure colour. Armlet, on the other hand, is for decorative bands. Most arm accessories that aren't strictly a piece of clothing in colour wrapped around the arm should be armlet. Snake armlet is a better tag name as these are almost always decorative. They're also considerably common so I think it's worth keeping the tag; whether it's undertagged or not is a different matter.

They're accessories but if you look at the implications of torn clothes it includes items like socks, gloves, scarves and neckties.

I think treating minor accessories as clothes dilutes the striped/checkered/torn tags even further, but the damage has already been done with things like striped bowtie and striped hairband.
