makes more sense when you're talking about a general era spanning multiple works. Getter Robo (1st series) is for the 1974 anime/manga, so it can be tied to a specific year, while Tetsujin 28-gou (1st series) is for the 1956-1966 manga and 1963-1966 anime, so it's more of an era.
I think Getter Robo counts as more of an era too, but moreso when thinking about the manga/anime divide (22:20). The manga continuity may get more attention these days, but it was the anime that garnered Getter Robo's popularity. It's a Devilman-esque situation... wait, what do you mean that doesn't even have a tag for the anime?! I can't even find the OG!anime version of Devilman ala post #3034446...
