Nuking old deprecated tags

Is there any chance we get an extension lol. White is huge, doing my best but unless more start helping cant finish it faster

If we're not done by the deadline and people are still working on it then I'll extend the deadline. For this first batch I think I overestimated how much people could get done.

Some tags have seen good progress so far, but some like tied hair and remodel (kantai collection) have seen little to none.

Thank you! Yeah the general consensus on the discord so far is none of us seem to care about remodel.

Sounds great. I figure that if there are actual hands on the tags then it won't be a zero-sum game of trying to encourage people to garden these out. Having those tag count updates also helps with bumping the topic to the top so hopefully more eyes get on it. I do want to dive in as well with a few.

As far as remodel (Kantai Collection) goes for example, there's not many people who are actually knowledgeable about this to make a good decision with tag replacement so yeah I think that one's just gotta get toasted to force the KanColle people to switch tags but without the help of the deprecated tag.

I made myself learn about ole tower for a week or so to clean those tags up, could probably slowly chip away at that tag (as soon as I'm done with my fixation on playing lego star wars). 12k posts is so many goodness.

I personally would start with remodel_(kantai_collection) solo to try and bang out the easier ones, using wikis as reference for what the remodel is, if anyone else needs a point to launch from.

Here's the thing: back when we deprecated the remodel tag and moved them to the appropriate kai ni chartags, the BUR that was made for the task (forum #203532) already took care of the ones that were solo, had only 1 chartag in the art, and were not tagged cosplay. The remainder that weren't affected (which I gardened initially) were group illustrations involving 2girls or more, or involved cosplay.

Well there's still 900 or so posts in that search to clean up regardless. 810 without the cosplay tag.

About half of that was due to Suzuya having been missed off the BUR. I've cleared all her ones from there except for 14 where I'm not sure how it was concluded that it was her remodel.

edit: another 79 were katsuragi - these are all cleared, including 1 mistag.

Slightly late, was scranning on Korean BBQ Wings at midnight. Also, goodbye green_legwear and pink_legwear.

Any thoughts on whether or not Intrepid Kai deserves a tag?

Aside from equipment the main difference is in the style and colouring of her neckerchief, which is noticeable when she's wearing her official outfit. There are 4 images with the remodel tag solely for her in that form, plus a few others with the tag where she's one of several that would get a remodel tag if there was one. There's no general tags that would bring up the neckerchief differences as both versions have two colours so no way other than the remodel tag to search for the relatively few images where she's visibly in her kai form outfit.

edit: apart from Intrepid Kai pics and one of the Italian kanmusu that I don't really know, all official art now no longer has the remodel tag.
