Another small red flag: She shared a Procreate timelapse after someone asked her if she was sharing AI. Her very first stroke in the tl is a centerline that perfectly matches up with the center of the facial features in the final art. She then erases it and starts with the rough head position instead, with a different centerline that doesn't quite match the final art. To me this makes it look like she's probably tracing a hidden reference layer.

Yeah, that's pretty fucking fishy. Alas, at worst, that would only make these AI-assisted at worst, which isn't exactly flaggable on its own. I'm not confident enough in my own skills at spotting AI to know how on or off the mark this is. The fact she is banning people who accuse her of AI is, perhaps, its own read flag...But I don't really have any evidence beyond what's been discussed here to make a firm judgement.

How is that a red flag? Accusations of using AI are the most insulting, offensive thing you could say to any artist. *If* they are a real artist, of course they would want absolutely nothing to do with anyone accusing them of being a fraud and implying that their hard work is trash. I don't know anything about this artist, so I'm not weigh in on whether or not they specifically are legit, but as a general principle judging artists for their reaction to being accused shouldn't factor in to the determination.

I'm an artist myself (smalltime - only around 10k followers on x) and I've had a few accusations over the years and it doesn't really bother me. I know that I'm not using AI, I routinely post process videos and WIPs, and am pretty involved in a few artist communities so I've interacted a lot with other artists. I'm not that concerned if some people think my art is faked because enough people know it isn't. This artist has only been posting art for 2 weeks, has no consistent style, and reacts hostilely to even relatively polite questions about AI usage? To me that kind of defensiveness is a sign of either deep insecurity or someone trying to hide something.

I guess YMMV. Personally for me it's not about whether it's easy to prove, but rather that it feels bad when people carelessly denigrate my hard work that I put countless hours into. I admittedly do have thin skin, and probably get more upset by random comments on the internet than I should.

Too many factors ain't adding up. The fact that a lot of these are posted within mere hours of each other, and a lot of earlier ones are in completely different styles. The latter isn't quite a red flag on Xiaohongshu, as it is a common site for commissioners to post their own second-party source commissions on just as much as artists do, but the time between posts is really sus to me.

This artist has 2 posts so far and I was scrolling through their X and thought most of their stuff looked upload-worthy, but before I start uploading I had a feeling about asking for an AI check. They seem a little TOO prolific/fast for a relatively short period of activity, so my sensor went off.

funnily enough the posts that are already on here are probably the least suspect (except for the eyes which are suspicious if not outright giving it away). most of the stuff on their twitter quickly falls apart when inspected at close range, lots of characteristic ai "smudging". their pinned post is the worst example.

looks ai to me
-vibes: all generic solo pictures of girls, like 9 out of 10 have hands/feet out of focus and no background
-on jan 23, uploaded two images of chloe that appear to be generated from the same prompt
-on dec 24, uploaded a really bad image of burnice. right hand is completely mangled. 6 fingers, hair blends unnaturally into middle finger, first index finger looks like it's been shoddily painted over and then there's a second broken index finger pointing in another direction

This is a pic from artist with a detailed, high-quality style that doesn't have a tag here, so that's already a red flag. The image itself doesn't seem to have too many AI tells, the strange anatomy appears to be mostly the result of depicting the characters dissolving into smoke. But checking the artist's account shows a variety of artstyles, which is another red flag. I thought that the account was just reposting art from other artists without permission, but a reverse search only points to that account as the origin of the image.
Overall, I'm really confused and don't know what to make of this artist.

Bumping this one because I need an answer.
