create implication digimon_adventure_02:_digimon_hurricane_jouriku!!_chouzetsu_shinka!!_ougon_no_digimental -> digimon_adventure_(continuity)
create implication digimon_adventure_02:_diablomon_no_gyakushu -> digimon_adventure_(continuity)
create implication digimon_adventure_tri. -> digimon_adventure_(continuity)
create implication digimon_adventure:_last_evolution_kizuna -> digimon_adventure_(continuity)
create implication digimon_adventure_02:_the_beginning -> digimon_adventure_(continuity)

Canonically, one continuity encompasses Digimon Adventure, Digimon Adventure 02, and their various sequels and movies. This is a separate continuity from other Digimon series like Digimon Tamers, and many characters appear in multiple, if not all Adventure-continuity properties. Therefore, I think it should probably get its own main tag to which the others are implicated.

The full Adventure timeline is as follows:

(Note that this does not include Digimon Adventure: (2020), which is a continuity unto itself.)

Having both Digimon Adventure (continuity) and Digimon Adventure is confusing. We should avoid having two tags with the same name that differ only in a single one being qualified.

I generally don't like making subseries tags unless there's a strong need for them. Most of them end up seeing little actual use. It usually ends up with a bunch of posts having 3 or 4 copyright tags for a single thing, while few people actually use them. Most searches end up being for the franchise tag or for individual entries instead. We had the same problem with Pokemon before (topic #25211) and we had to walk it back because the tag hierarchy got too complicated.

My problem is when I'm tagging pics like post #8795492. The characters have about the same designs in Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna and Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning, so which should be tagged? I went with both, but also, one of the characters was introduced (and a main character) in Digimon Adventure, and two were introduced (and main characters) in Digimon Adventure 02. Should both those copyrights also be tagged? I guess what I'm trying to say is, I don't know what the hierarchy between the different series should be, and also I don't know what to do in ambiguous cases.

Should probably be tagged with what matches their depicted design is from. If someone wants to see Tai from Last Evolution, then they can do that by comboing the two tags; same should work for his original adventure appearance. That's my take on this sorta thing, anyways.

When a character appears in multiple copyrights, only the one(s) that match their appearance in the post should be tagged. It makes it harder to search for specific appearances if every character is tagged with their debut copyright.
